Cy Cowart

On one sunny day (February 18, 1979),in Lamesa, Texas, Ed and Dina Cowart had a little bundle of joy delivered.  They named him Leslie Cybert Cowart. Life growing up for Cy was good, but a little frustrating.  Ed Cowart was a coach and he kept getting better coaching jobs so he could support his family better so Cy lived all over the world as a kid. He lived in places such as West Texas, Andaeus, Sweetwater, Lamesa, Hawley, Abilene, Saginaw, and Floydada.  As a freshman and a sophomore Cy attended Abilene High, and as a junior and a senior he attended Floydada High School.  At Floydada the sports that Cy participated in were football, basketball, power lifting, and track.  They clubs he was apart of were One-Act Play and Student Council.  After Cy finished high school he furthered his education at Hardin-Simmons University.
