I. Course Requirements

A. SUPPLIES:

1. 2 folders, 2 pencils and textbook everyday (unless otherwise directed)

B. RESEARCH PAPER (1st Six Weeks):

1. 3 full handwritten pages in length, of which 1 page will be for sources

2. Format:

a. Introduction

b. Specific jobs found

c. Requirements

d. Salary

e. Conclusion and opinions

f. Sources

C. ARTICLE REVIEWS

1. A brief 1 or 2 paragraph review of an article found in a newspaper, magazine, or Internet having to do with a Spanish-speaking country. These will be due every Monday. Clipping or photocopy thereof must accompany the article

D. FOLDERS

1. Students will bring and maintain 2 folders to class. One folder for taking notes must have lined notebook paper and the other to keep completed homework assignments, vocabulary sheets and handouts

E. ORAL PARTICIPATION

1. Student will attempt to pronounce sounds/words/phrases individually and with the whole class

II. Class Regulations

A. Students is to have both feet inside the door when the bell rings

B. No chewing gum or soft drinks allowed in class

C. Students are to sit in assigned seats

D. Students are to use pencils, specifically not pens

E. Students are to talk when directed to do so; Otherwise, QUIET DURING LECTURES

F. Student is to raise hand to speak/question during lectures

G. Assigned work will be turned in at the beginning of class on the assigned day

H. Student is to refrain from bothering anyone around him/her

I. Student is to keep area around his/her seating clean and orderly

J. Student is to follow all directives given by teacher
