The school is located on Industry St. in south Giddings. The 2-story schoolhouse, with basement classrooms too, was torn down after a new high school was built on Hwy. 77 south in the 1960's after passage of a bond issue for the new campus. The property was later purchased by Trudy Carter who built a large complex of apartments on the land. The old McClellan field football stadium was located behind the school.
